Shooting slo-mo

- [Instructor] Let's go to slow-mo. So all we have to do is slide. There we go, just like that. We go from video to slow-mo. And the first thing that I want to show you is that, up here in the upper right-hand corner, see we have our HD 120 frames per second. That is our default setting. If for some reason, I decide I want to record that golf swing (laughs) and really analyze it. I can switch on the flight right here, HD 240, just by tapping on it and then I come back to HD 120. That is really the main thing to know. Now, when I tap this, the way that slow-mo goes, it starts out recording at normal rate for a few seconds, and then it slows down. So your recording slows down, and then when you tap stop, what it does is, it kind of goes back a little bit, and that last little bit of video goes back to normal speed. Now, one of the things that I want to show you when we get to editing our slow motion video. In photos for macOS Big Sur is that we can adjust, put a bookmark here. We can adjust the parts of the video that are regular speed, and the parts of the video that are slow motion. So all you have to think about really while you're recording slow-mo is just hold the camera steady, frame your shot, get good video, knowing then that we can adjust it a bit more when we get to editing. Already, that is the main thing to know. Slow-mo is a lot of fun. (laughs) I really like it. And once you learn that you have control over it as well, it becomes even more fun.
