- [Instructor] The approach to this course is potentially a little bit different than you might expect from a design software course. I'm going to just be spending a lot of time on understanding kind of the nuances within ArchiCAD, areas that when I was learning ArchiCAD were confusing or complex and hidden in some ways. So I want to start with a good foundation to the preferences, and we'll be talking a lot about these areas like the project preferences, the work environment, some of the documentation tools, and the things that really enrich your project and your knowledge of the software, and will vastly improve your understanding in the long run. And then we're going to talk about the tools and the toolboxes. And these are pretty self-explanatory. ArchiCAD is a pretty intuitive software, and that is why I am holding off on some of these basic tools because if you've come this far and you're curious about the software, you're going to learn these regardless of how long we spend on them. But my goal is to provide you with the tools necessary to be as efficient as possible with this application. And then we'll finish out the course with some of the more advanced techniques and methods to work with far more complex projects and more complex workflows. So take your time, and feel free to skip around if you need to. If you are a more advanced user, there are some techniques at the end of the course that you might not necessarily be familiar with, but overall, this should be a very deep dive into an application that I'm sure you will love.
