- [Instructor] Alright. Say, we've gotten to a point where we have submitted our drawings to the authority having jurisdiction or we are doing some kind of internal review and there's things that we want to correct within our project. There is, if you go into the Toolbox a tool called the Change Tool, in the Document dropdown. So if you double click on that, it'll bring up this dialogue box which you're probably pretty familiar with at this point. So you have the ability to adjust the name and ideas as well as if it's a linked marker versus unlinked marker. And then there's some reference information, as well as what kind of marker it's going to be, as well as the text. And these are all pretty standard options with most of the tools that we have. And again, then there's the properties that define it as well as the layer that we're going to use. So what this tool allows you to do, is allows you to make some cloud bubbles. And so if you went through your project and you found some issues on text, or maybe there is a name that was incorrect, or you can also just touch something and say that that's an issue and you can also do it without a head. So if you wanted to cloud the whole thing, and you can change it so that the bubble is actually a cloud, so you can change the marker to be more cloud based. And what the power of this tool is that you can open up another dialogue box and you go to Document and then Change Manager. And if you click on that, you can see these changes that are created within the project. So this, it shows who created it, it shows where, if I wanted to zoom to it. So if I wanted to find the marker, go to Selected, it'll little zoom to that marker. And what this allows you to do, is allows you to track your changes or the modifications to your project. And so if you have different stages of review that you're doing, internally or even that you have comments that are coming back from the authority having jurisdiction, this is a good way to kind of track those changes and have a place to see them all. What else this does is, if you go to your Drawings so let's go to our Layout and let's see where this... So we're in the Design Development, if we could go to Plans, we should have a Floor Plan here. So they show up here. And so if I go to Open assignedMaster Layout, and I want to see a record of the changes that are happening, and if I go to my Object Tool, double click on that. And then if I go to my... Let's see here, markup tool, So if I go to, I'm in the Library, I'm in the General section. And then if I go to the Drawing Symbols, there is this Revision History Detailed and the Revision History NCS. You can also, if you know the name of an object you're looking for, you can just type it in. So it'll bring up these. So if I just go to the Revision History, I can modify this object in a lot of different ways. So I can change how it's changed the borders. If it has internal borders or external borders, I can also change the alignment of the text within this box. I can change the names of the information within it. I'm just going to place it as it is for now. And let's change this layer. I'm going to put this on a layer that never turns off which is the ARCHICAD layer. And I'm just going to move it here. I'm just going to resize it a little bit. So it's a little bit bigger. And so this is on the master sheet and what that does, so if I go back to that Layout, you can see here that that change that I've created is here. And it says, this is basically Delta one. The date is it's a work in progress, and the description it says not an issue yet. And so if I go over here, back to my Change Manager, I can click on Issue History, and I can look at what issues I have. And then I can also look at a little bit more detail on the Revision History here. And this gives me kind of an idea of where these are coming from, how they're being labeled. And think if I close this issue, it will say that it's no longer a work in progress anymore and it'll close, and then this will update with the current date. So this is a really good tool for being able to track your changes, as well as compare the changes that you've made to any kind of corrections that you might get from your clients, or the authority having jurisdiction over your project, and it's a very useful tool. I use it internally just to keep track of the changes that I'm making and to make sure that I'm completing all the necessary modifications to the drawings or the set that I need to in a timely fashion. And so there's a lot of nuances within this and something definitely to familiarize yourself with.
