Surfaces

- Now let's talk about surfaces. Surfaces can be found under options, surfaces. surfaces represent how your elements will look in 3D or as they will be rendered. So at the top, we here we have all the different available surfaces that you have that come stock with ArchiCAD. And so there is a very good array of different surfaces. So if we select something like wood siding we have a surface color. And then we also have the transmittance which is the transparency how the surface reacts to light the color of the surface the diffusion of the surface, the shininess of the surface how if this surface actually produces light. And if it has a specific color that it uses to produce the light surfaces also have a vectorial hatch associated with it. And since we selected wood siding it's giving us this option here and then we can also have a texture that's associated with that surface. And so we can adjust this…
