Erasers

So on this course, we're going to be using two erasers, a putty eraser and a plastic eraser. And they both got very different jobs. The putty eraser is great, because like putty, it's soft and malleable, and you can squeeze parts of it and. Make shapes with it to really get fine details into your drawings. And the putty eraser we'll use a lot for actually drawing, to actually take back sections of the graphite. What you'll notice with it, is you can be nice and soft with it, and it's really good for getting these soft, blendy edges. And there's nothing left on the actual surface of the drawing. What happens, is all the graphite comes in to the actual eraser. So this is a brand new one, which looks really white. But you'll notice that as drawings progress, this will get really, really gray. Because it just soaks up all of the graphite into the actual eraser. I've also got a plastic eraser, and this is if you really want to take back a lot of your actual graphite right back to white…
