- Each of us have a distinct sense of touch. Some people are described as heavy-handed. Others are described as having a light touch. When it comes to mark making instruments, the interface between an artist's expressive gestures and the actual mark made is the instrument's point of contact with that mark making surface. Wacom realizes this and provides various pen nibs in order to offer various point of contact experiences. In fact, you may have a set of these various nibs to try out and not even know it. Let's find out where they are. So what I've got in front of me here are the previous generation and the new generation standard pens. This is the Grip Pen which previously came with the Intuos5 Tablet, and this is the new Pro Pen 2 which now comes with the Intuos Pro Tablet as well as the Cintiq Pros and going forward, I believe this pen on the Pro model hardware will be the standard pen.
