Placing your Tablet

- Because the pen and tablet is an expressive interface between the art and the artist, many of the ergonomics discussions we'll have here must be taken with a grain of salt. Tablet placement in the overall setup of your work environment is ultimately a personal preference. So let's talk a little bit about this. There are two primary setups that I describe as symmetric and asymmetric, and in this case, we're now setup for a symmetric setup. If you could see how everything's just perfectly organized, kind of along the center line of the monitor. Basically this gives me the ability to draw and focus on the monitor. If I need to make a typing correction or I get into some typing activity, I can just come up here and type. Now because we're in the era of wireless tablets, nothing's to say that you can't just temporarily also put this up here so it's a little closer to you.
