So, before I start any teaching, and this is going to be the hardest thing I'm going to ask you to do, is a pre-instruction drawing of a cup. This is just like if you go to the gym for the first time, you get a fitness test just to see what level you're at now. And it can be so important so you can really see what progress you've made throughout the course. It will only take 15 minutes. If you don't do it now you'll kick yourself at end of the course because you won't be able to see what a massive jump you have made from the very beginning. Any tea cup will do and if you haven't got a tea cup, a mug. Place it in front of you on a piece of typing paper and just start to draw it. If you draw for five minutes and you hear yourself saying, this is rubbish, this isn't going very well. Then you've just got to push yourself to work through it. It's only 15 minutes.
