- The phrase a picture is worth a thousand words is a terribly confusing possibility. When we create an image, it's about refining a message, utilizing a visual tool as the delivery mechanism. If a consumer is left swimming in a pool of 1,000 possibilities after engaging your client's brand, then frankly, we've done a fairly poor job as a designer. I understand the parable, but our task is to create clarity of message. The more succinct a logo, the greater the chance we're going to engage the public and that they'll be able to conjure the message we're charged with conveying.
