- Alright my friend, shall we? - Yes, sir. - Alright, four for nothing, here we go. (drumming) The energy's great from the word "go" so I'm stoked on this take already. (drumming) ♫ The dreams we chase can't get away too far ♫ And we can give up everything we own ♫ But we still will never be ... ♫ Life is changing ♫ Even when we're standing still ♫ If those changes ever try to break our will ♫ We won't stand alone ♫ We'll stand side by side (drumming) - When I'm tracking drums I tend to listen pretty loud so I can feel the impact of the drums coming out of the speakers but at some stage you've gotta turn that volume down to make sure that at a low volume, they're still rocking and punching through everything. It's especially important when you're overdubbing drums on a track so you can make sure the track is balanced, the drums feel good, they're punching through the mix, and everything is still making you want to bob your head at a quiet volume. ♫ We can't fly much higher on our own…
