- Two of my favorite reverbs for this sort of song are the EMT 250, Mister R2D2 over here, and the AMS RMX16 in the rack over here. So, I got a couple aux sends sent out to them and we'll see if we even need it. The ambiance coming off the mic's is pretty darn cool at the moment, but we'll see if this helps us get any more depth out of our mix. (drum and cymbal beats) What I'm looking for in reverb is an extension of reality. In rock records, we want everything to be larger than life and so with reverb, we can make that extension of reality go further because it's gonna sound different than the room we recorded it in. We can place it into a very specific space that will work with our song and provide more depth, more groove, whatever you need to make up for some kind of deficiencies or as to add things to make it more exciting. (cymbal and drum beats) This is like a straight-up '80s kind of reverb. It's one of the first digital reverbs ever made, and definitely featured on sort of…
