Rule #14: Repeating melodic figures makes them memorable

- Rule #14, repeating melodic figures makes them memorable. This is yet another device to help your listeners remember and learn your song, and it works across all sections of your song, your verses, your choruses, the bridge, et cetera. In our song example, "To Have and To Hold," we're going to listen to verse two and chorus two, and listen to the way that the verse is two melodic phrases repeated, and you'll also notice that the chorus repeats rhythmic phrases as well.
