Balance your patience and impatience
From the course: One Minute Motivational Tips for Songwriters
Balance your patience and impatience
- [Instructor] In spite of what I have just said, it is also important to learn how to balance patience with impatience. I'll give you an example. You need to be impatient to get up and get to work on your song writing, and get to work on the business of song writing. That's something that you need to be actively doing and impatient about, anxious to get to work on, then when it comes to the fruits of that labor, that's where you need to be patient. So it really is finding the balance of impatience to get to work and get started, with the patience that's required to wait for these things to actually bear fruit. So learn to balance that patience and impatience, and you're well on your way to navigating a long and successful career in song writing.
