- [Instructor] Now, just to drive the point home, I'd like to do some subtractive EQ-ing, and then augment that using an additive EQ. So let's talk about how to make those things work together. Let's go over to this guitar, let's take a listen. ♪ Let your hair down ♪ ♪ Take it easy ♪ ♪ Feel the sand under your feet ♪ ♪ Sun is shining ♪ (solo guitar music) All right, so this guitar is definitely cool. It's a cool guitar, I played it. So it's officially cool. And what we need to do is we need to clear some room. There's actually a lot of room in there. It's not an overwhelming signal but let's make a little bit of space by doing some carving. And what we're going to do is set it up for being pushed a little bit harder, okay? So let's listen.
