- [Instructor] Now, let's talk a little bit more about mix bus compression. One of the considerations to make when you're doing compression on the mix bus if you're looking for some glue and for some level of consistency is first of all, don't go overboard. That's the big thing. You're going to ruin your transients. Everyone likes the transient. Music is meant to be dynamic and thankfully these days, the loudness wars aren't as much of a thing that you have to worry about as far as compressing your transients. So, one thing that I want to look at is the basic idea that maybe we can call up a compressor, and I'll do that using the SSL G bus compressor. Let's look at how this compressor is reacting to this particular tune and think about maybe how we can make that a little bit better.
