- [Instructor] All right, so let's talk a little bit more about file management. If you're a modern producer, you've got a lot of files. That's just the nature of the beast. I know it sounds very, very obvious but we do. We have a lot of files, and we have to roll the punches on those because losing things is not an option. You really need to keep everything together. You need to know where everything is, and you need to have copies. And so, what we're going to do is we're going to take a look at how I like to organize certain projects, okay? So let's talk about a project. Let's say, for example, I am producing something. So maybe it's a song for a rapper or a singer. I made the beat and I recorded the vocal, and then I'm going to do the mix as well. So I've got to keep all that stuff together. It's really, really important that all of that stuff is accessible.
