- [Instructor] So once you've got your mix in order in terms of the punchiness and in terms of the character that you want to use, I'm going to get rid of this guy and let's just add a little Phoenix back in there like we had previously. Just something sort of simple there, put trim there. Let's take a listen to what we have and let's think about how to get this thing louder for a sort of commercial level. (punchy electronic music) All right. So we're getting about three DB of gain from our mix bus, which ain't bad. We could be maybe slightly more disciplined about it but we're doing really well. And that's a perfect amount of headroom to start hitting a limiter with. So I have these two different print tracks. This one is for the non-maximized for mastering version. And then this right here is going to be what someone might call the L2, I call it the hotbox. And what that does is it goes to the client and it also…
