Go on input for a while
- [Narrator] If you find yourself stuck for songwriting ideas meaning you're trying and no inspiration is really coming, it might mean that you need to take a little break from songwriting, especially if you've been trying to do this every day for an extended period of time. Take that break and go on what we refer to as input. In other words, go live your life for a little while so that you actually have things to write about. All that to say, even though it's important to work on your songwriting as often as you possibly can, it's equally important to know when it's time to take a break and just live your life and experience things so that you have new inspiration to get back into the writing game. We call that in the industry, going on input. And every once in a while, that's exactly what you need to do.
