- [Instructor] All right so now I want to go a little further in talking about helping elements sit in the mix. This particular track as you heard before we've got a whole mess of synthesizers happening. Let's jump to the chorus because there's a lot happening. We've got, wow, one, two, three sets of stabs, we've got some horns, we've got, they're midi horns by the way, you knew that. And we've also got a guitar in addition to all the vocals happening, the percussion, et cetera. So it's important that we help each element sit properly, so that it's doing what it's supposed to do in the mix and not creating mud and not overpowering anything else. Now that being said, certain instruments are meant to blend and that's okay. We just want to make sure that overall we have room for everything that we need room for before we start reaching for our boosts and our compressors and things like that.
