- [Instructor] The moment you have any songs out on one of the streaming services or anywhere out in the world commercially, it is extremely important to join a performing rights organization. Performing rights organizations are out there to collect your royalties for you, and they will do this from radio play, from streaming services. Anytime that there is a performance of your song in public, your performing rights organization is going to be collecting royalties on your behalf. Joining a PRO, or performing rights organization, is free and something that you can do when you know that you're going to have songs that are out in the world in a public way.
