- [Instructor] And speaking of what it takes to keep going, a career in songwriting genuinely rewards those songwriters who don't give up. It is so tempting so often to get discouraged, or frustrated by how long things take to just throw in the towel and put it all away. My recommendation would be keep going. There is always something going on that you are unaware of and if you keep going, and if you stay at it some of those things that take a long time to bear fruit will ultimately bear fruit and the rewards will be wonderful. So as I like to put it, when in doubt don't quit.
