Look for literary inspiration
- [Instructor] On those days where it feels like you're stuck for song ideas, one of the tricks that I was taught years ago is to go to a bookstore and just browse titles of books. Since book titles can't be copy written, it's always interesting to see what titles book stores will yield up that make perfect song ideas. So when you're at a loss for inspiration, sometimes you can kickstart it by heading over to a book store, browsing titles until one of those titles gives you either a title for a song, or an idea of how to approach a song based on some part of that title.
