Mix buss EQ: Surgery and flavor
- [Instructor] Now let's talk about Mix Bus EQ. There's a lot that we can do with EQ on the Mix Bus. And it's really easy to go overboard. For example, always keep in mind phase, make sure that you're not boosting something weird that's causing phasing, this listen and mano, basically everything I've recommended for any other step of your process. Just always listen, check phase. So let's take a look at a couple of different EQs. We're going to go from the most rudimentary type of thing that I would use for surgical EQ all the way up through something that I like for additive. So let's just start with a simple Pro-Q. This is a FabFilter you can use just about any paragraph EQ. This one happens to have a linear phase mode which is going to preserve phase as much as possible. And so what we can do with this is we can do a little high pass action if we want, perhaps there's some rumble in there that's not really helping too…
