- [Instructor] I just wanted to take a minute to talk about prepping your tracks for mastering. There are a lot of different approaches to doing this, but here are my general, sort of, follow throughs. First of all, when I print my mix, this is sort of the demo version down here, and the one right here, this limiter is going to be only printed to that one track. So I have two separate audio tracks here that are going to be printed. And this first one, this is like the mastering headroom version, okay? And that's going to get all my mix bus processing. Let's take a look at where our headroom is. ♪ Yeah, time has changed ♪ ♪ We're restrained for the better ♪ ♪ For the better ♪ - [Instructor] Okay, now if jump over to here. Yeah we're looking at between 3 and 60 b of headroom, that's a really good place to be at. So while we're printing this mix, we're only getting the mix bus processing and things like that. And not any limiting. We want to leave plenty of headroom for the mastering…
