From the course: One Minute Motivational Tips for Songwriters
Remember what moves you
- [Narrator] The more songs that you write the easier it will be to forget what actually moves you about the process of songwriting. And I would highly recommend taking a step back and reminding yourself from time to time when you were genuinely moved by something that you had written. It's just a good way of reconnecting with the emotional core of what it takes to be a songwriter. I understand that it's important to just continue to write songs and I am a big proponent of writing as many songs as you can because of all the benefits that that accrues. However, pausing for a moment and just remembering what it is that moves you about songwriting is equally important.
