Rhythmic synth sounds with MIDI FX

- [Instructor] One thing that comes up a lot in sessions that I work, is "How do we make some classic-sounding, "synth elements with, sort of minimal equipment?" Now a lot of people love to work with hardware synths, but a lot of what we love about hardware synths is available, inside of our most basic DAWS. We have a lot of simple tools at our disposal, so we can make some really classic, really recognizable sounds, and it just comes down to knowing, what it is you're sort of looking for, in some of these synth sounds. One of the things that comes up a lot is making arpeggios. Now, I've got this, sort of, arpeggiated sound happening here, and I'm just using the most basic Logic synthesizer. And I just want to, show you how I would use simple MIDI effects to, work with this thing, and, make it feel a little bit more, alive, a little bit more analog and "classic."
