- [Instructor] Even though as a songwriter you might understand how important it is to learn the music business, it can still feel completely overwhelming to figure out how that all works. My recommendation would be to break it down into very small steps. Just do a little something everyday to understand the music business, whether it's reading a book on the music business, or going to a workshop, or reading online. The reality is that nobody learns the music business in a single day. It takes a long time, and it takes consistent and dedicated effort. I can tell with 100% certainty though, that that effort pays off in major ways. So, take it in small steps, and learn the music business that way, and you will reap the rewards.
