Write quickly and edit slowly
- [Instructor] This tip is a related tip to the one above. Write quickly but edit slowly. So I love this idea of sitting down to write and just trying to capture as quickly and as efficiently as possible what you're feeling in that moment. I like to refer to it as capturing whatever is in the room at that given time. Then once you've done that and once you've gotten a sense of the full song, edit and don't edit quickly. This is not the part of the process to be rushed. Editing is where you really take your time. Make sure your song is doing everything that you are hoping it will do realizing your vision. And then you'll have something that you're proud of that's finished and polished. So write quickly but edit slowly and methodically.
