Not every song will be great
From the course: One Minute Motivational Tips for Songwriters
Not every song will be great
- [Narrator] Although, as songwriters, we want to believe that everything we do is at the top level, the reality is that not every single song that we write will be great. It just is impossible to make that happen. Sometimes you have to write a couple of mediocre songs just to get them out of the way so that you can write the next great one. So don't get discouraged if you writing something and it feels like it just kind of lies there. That's fine. Just be glad that you've gotten that one out of your system and move on and, hopefully, the next song will be better. There's just no way to make every song that we write great. All we can do is keep going so that we can get the mediocre ones out of the way and get on to the next great one.
