- [Instructor] Another problem that a lot of people are running into these days is the idea that our kicks and our subs and our low end material need to resonate on things like iPhones, Beats Pills, smaller systems, things like that. People are listening to music in more places than ever before and it's nice to accommodate, especially if you're making pop-oriented music that you want people to listen to in a lot of different places. If it's a beat-based idiom, it's really nice to have that sound sort of show up. And the other thing about your mids, which is what these devices sort of tend to emphasize, your low mids, things like that, is that they really give us a lot of punch. They give a lot of weight to sounds, and they also lend themselves toward making our sounds punchier and making our low end heavier without boosting a bunch of bottom end, and running out of head room, because that's not a super modern approach at this time.
