- [Instructor] Finally in this chapter, we're going to look at five tips, well, yeah, technically five and a half tips for editing a trailer for your film. Tip the first, try thinking of your trailer less like a commercial and more like a movie itself. A lot of young filmmakers want to use trailers to show off their best shots, usually in an effort to convey an exaggerated sense of the film's production value. And I suppose that to agree, that might be helpful as well. But it's more important to get an audience or a potential audience engaged by the story of your film. So think of the trailer like its own story, except without an act three, because you intentionally should not have resolution in your trailer, because of tip number two, which is use your trailer to create questions.
