Holding a screening

- [Instructor] Another way to promote your film is to hold a screening which is a special showing of your film. This can be anything from showing the movie on a TV or projector in your own living room for a select group of friends and family, to holding a screening at a movie theater for the general public or anything in between. For the assurance, we held a screening at a movie theater but I'll talk about that venue more in a moment. First, let's talk about why you might want to hold a screening. One of the big reasons is obviously to generate interest in your film to get your peers excited about your work and hopefully spread the word about it. It's also a great opportunity to get feedback from people about your film. You could ask your audience after the screening, what they thought or pass around comment cards.
