Introduction to this course

- [Instructor] - Hey folks, welcome to this, the 13th and final course in this epic series on creating a short film. In this course, we're going to be looking at taking the short film you've made from watching the other 12 courses presumably, and then getting the word out. Now, in the artistic world, marketing might have a little bit of a bad reputation. But marketing a film isn't just about money and commercialism. Marketing is about finding your audience and connecting to them. So we'll talk about branding and creating promotional materials like logos, a poster, and cutting together a trailer. Then we'll look at tips for getting the word out on social media, creating an IMDb page for your film, and holding a screening at a movie theater. We'll talk about film festivals and how to really target your audience. And of course, we'll look at ways you can make money from your short film. Finally, we'll wrap up with a personal look at the entire experience of making this short film, and this accompanying training over the last several years, and some of the lessons I've learned through this process. So, let's put the cherry on top of this sundae and jump in.
