- [Instructor] In this movie, we're going to look at seven tips for creating a movie poster. You'll notice that some of these tips are similar to the tips in the last movie on designing a logo. So, take them with a point of emphasis that these are important concepts when designing promotional materials. Tip number one, your poster should get people engaged with your movie. They should feel curious or afraid, or they should laugh, or whatever else you'd like them to experience to prepare for seeing your film. And you do this by telling the story or at least the essence of your story. Take the iconic poster for "Jaws," and I guess, imagine you haven't seen it a thousand times already, but this is a terrifying image. The idea that there's an unseen predatory world underneath you when you're doing something innocent and playful like swimming at the beach, it's very effective.
