- [Instructor] Now that we have an understanding of the language of sound design let's analyze several scenes to describe how film makers are using these different elements we've been discussing to tell their story. First we'll go back to the western genre. Here we'll analyze two scenes and look specifically at dialog perspective and point of view. First we'll watch the opening scene from Robert Altman's anti-western, McCabe and Mrs. Miller, and then we'll watch a clip from director Ted Post's more traditional western Hang 'Em High. As you're watching pay close attention to how the dialog is treated.
