Working with adjustment layers and layer masks

- Sometimes as you work with an image, you may want to take more precise control over a specific area. This is really easy to do if you take advantage of an adjustment layer. An adjustment layer is essentially an empty layer that can hold adjustments, and instead of applying to a photo, it applies to what is down below. Now normally that's a single image or an HDR photo that you've merged, but it is possible that you've added in a texture inside of Aurora, or maybe you've added some other graphic layer. Well, in any case, the adjustment layer will apply to everything that goes beneath it. So it's a very useful tool. Here's how it works. Let's click on the new layer icon here, and I'll choose add new adjustment layer. This puts it in, and you'll see that all of the effects are applied. Now on the new adjustment layer, let's start with image radiance, and what I'm going to do is start to darken down the edges a bit.
