- [Instructor] We're starting a new chapter now in our AutoCAD Architecture course. And we're going to be looking at fixtures, fittings and in this case furniture. So we've got a new drawing for you that I'm sure you'll recognize from other videos in other chapters, but we've called it this time at Fixtures Model.dwg, and you can download it from the library to follow along with the videos in this chapter. Now you'll notice that I've left off a roof and a floor slab, that's deliberate for clarity so that you can see what's going on. If you want to add a roof and a floor slab later, you're more than welcome to do so. Now when you open up the Fixtures Model.dwg file, you'll see that we've got a new current drafting layer called furniture. Make a note of that mentally for later and I'll explain why.
