- [Instructor] For this particular course, we'll be working with AutoCAD Architecture 2021, which is at present the latest version of AutoCAD Architecture. Now be aware that if you've used older versions of AutoCAD and potentially older versions of AutoCAD Architecture, the interface might have changed. So in this particular video, I'm just going to take you through some of the newer features available to you in the AutoCAD Architecture 2021 interface. So you'll notice the ribbon at the top of the screen. If you look at the icons in the 2021 version of AutoCAD Architecture, the icons might be different to what you're used to. They've been tweaked slightly by the development team at Autodesk to give us a much cleaner, more refined look to the icons. And it supports all of the things like 4k and HD screens, as well. As we work through the tabs on the ribbon, you'll see that the interface is very clean and it's got this very blue-black look to it now. That is to reduce eyestrain on the eyes and to allow us to look at our screens and not get that squinting eyestrain effect that we do get sometimes when we're working too hard on AutoCAD Architecture. Also you'll notice we've got things like blocks and so on in the ribbon, in the Insert tab. If I go to Insert here and I go to say, recent blocks, in the AutoCAD Architecture 2021 version, we have a thing called the Blocks Palette, you'll notice. This is different to older versions of AutoCAD Architecture, I'll just close the palette now. So be aware that the interface has changed in these later versions of AutoCAD Architecture. If I jump into something like Vision Tools, for example, you can see that the icons are much cleaner and much neater and tidier now. What they've done is they've changed things in the interface to make your life easier with quicker workflows and more efficient usage of the product. If I go back to the Home tab there on the ribbon, if you have a quick look at the quick access toolbar there, that's been changed slightly as well. You'll notice in AutoCAD Architecture 2021, we've got some tools here where we can jump into the Project Browser and the Project Navigator when we're using projects in our AutoCAD Architecture designs.
