About parcel labels

- Now that we've seen how parcels are created, let's discuss how labels are used to annotate them. There are two types of labels associated with parcels, area labels and segment labels. The area labels are created automatically, and they're required, they can't be deleted. If a parcel exists an area label must also exist. You see an area label in the center of this parcel, it says single family to 60. Segment labels can be added after the fact, they're optional. And they're commonly used to provide bearing, distance and curve data information on the segments that make up a parcel. So the segment labels in this example, are the four labels that you see out here on the exterior. Now, like other civil 3D labels, parcel labels are dynamic. So if something were to change about an object, they would respond. For example, if I were to move this segment, the bearing and distance would change. They also respond to styles as…
