[Instructor] One of the most important aspects of your land development design is cost and more than likely the most costly part of your project will be earth moving. That's why calculating cuts and fills is so important. Let's see how it's done. To get started I'll go to the analyze tab of the ribbon. And one of the tools we can use is the volumes dashboard. I'll go ahead and click that to launch the tool. The Panorama comes up and it's currently empty. The first thing I'll do is click this icon to create a new volume surface. I'm going to name this surface Earthwork, and for the style I'm going to use no display because we don't want to display anything in the drawing. We just want to get the data. And for my base surface, I'm going to pick EG. And for my comparison surface, I'm going to pick FG final. Now, if you're doing more accurate earthwork calculations you might want to even create another surface instead of FG final…
