- [Instructor] One important aspect of your land development design will be controlling the flow of rainfall, or runoff. In this video, we'll look at how surfaces help you analyze and control runoff. To get started, we'll click on the Analyze tab up here on the ribbon, and the first tool we'll show off is Flow Paths and then Water Drop. What this tool will do is, when we pick a point on the screen, it will show us the direction that water will flow from that point. Now, the first thing we'll need to do is select a surface. To make sure I'm getting the right one, I'm going to press enter, and then select EG-FG Composite. Now, remember in a previous video, we talked about combining surfaces. In this drawing, it's already been done for you that the EG and FG final surfaces were combined into one. So, it's as though we have a surface that represents the project after it's been constructed.
