Apply an Alignment Design criteria file

- [Instructor] In the last video, we looked at design check sets to check our work as we go. In this video, we'll look at something a bit more sophisticated, which does the same thing, the design criteria file. We'll start in much the same way that we did in the last video. I'll click the alignment, go to alignment properties, and we'll turn our focus to the design criteria tab. We want to use criteria-based design, and we can see the design speed is set to 25 miles per hour, which is what we want. But this time we do want to use a design criteria file and not a check set. I'll click the ellipsis here to choose which design criteria file I want to apply. Now, these are the files that come with Civil 3D out of the box, and they're based on AASHTO. You can see we've got a 2018 standard, 2011 standard, and so on. We're going to choose the imperial 2018 standard for this example. I want to point out, though, that…
