Apply a profile design criteria file
- Design Criteria Files serve a similar function to Design Check Sets, but they're quite a bit more sophisticated and more difficult to set up. Let's see how they work for profiles. I'll zoom into my Profile View and select the Jordan Court FTCL profile. Then I'll select Profile Properties on the ribbon. On the Profile Properties dialog, I'll click the Design Criteria tab and check the box next to Use criteria based design. Then I'll check the box next to Use design criteria file, click the ellipsis to the right of the path, and choose the 2018 Imperial Design Criteria File. I'll click Open and then click OK. I'll press Esc to clear the grips on my profile, so that we can clearly see the warning symbols. I'll hover over each warning symbol to see what's going on. Here we see the Minimum K for Passing Sight Distance has been violated. We're not too concerned about this because we're not going to allow passing in our 25 mile…
