- [Instructor] Profile views are often labeled across the bottom and sometimes the top, with information that numerically describes various aspects of the profiles they contain. This is accomplished through profile view bands in Civil 3D. Let's see how they work. We'll zoom into our Jordan Court profile view. I'll select the Profile View grid. And then up on the ribbon, I'll click Profile View Properties. The first thing I'll do is go to the Information tab and change the style. We want to change this from DOT to Major & Minor Grids 10v. Then we'll go to the Bands tab and you'll notice that currently there are no bands in this area, nothing is been added. So to add a band, I'll choose the type which you can see there are quite a few to choose from. I'll pick Profile Data, and then I need to choose the style for that band.
