Change the pipe network flow direction

- [Instructor] At times you may need to change the flow direction of a pipe so that hydraulic calculations are done properly. Let's take a look at how that's done. So if I take a look at the pipe in profile view here, it's obvious that it slopes in this direction. So let's click on that and pick pipe properties and take a look at the flow direction. You'll notice here that it says end to start, which doesn't immediately indicate a problem. Sometimes you draw pipe networks from the end, from the lowest elevation to the highest elevation. So it may not be a problem for the flow direction to not be start to end. But to make sure that that's the case, let's check the inverts. So remember, it's end to start. And if we look at the end invert elevation, it's 180. But the start elevation is 188. So basically we're trying to make water flow uphill with this particular pipe.
