- [Instructor] Not only can we use sections to display the cross-section views of our designs, we can also put them to work to calculate volumes for us. Let's see how that's done. It all starts with creating quantity takeoff criteria. And we can do that on the Settings tab, scrolling down near the bottom to the Quantity Takeoff section. And here you'll see Quantity Takeoff Criteria. You can expand that. And here, I'm just going to create one brand new from scratch. The first thing I'll do is add a material and I'd like to start with an earthwork material. Cut and fill between our datum surface or the elevations underneath our template in the existing ground. Our condition here will be Earthworks. And we need to define the two surfaces that we'll be using to compare them. Now, this is kind of a template. So you'll see that at times, I use the real names of things in the drawing and at times, I use placeholders.…
