Configure a surface analysis
- [Instructor] Now that we've learned a little bit about surface analysis, let's go ahead and create one. What I'd like to do is create a slope analysis for this finished ground surface. And to start out, I'll select the surface, right click and pick surface properties. I want to go to the analysis tab and for my analysis type, I'll choose slopes. Now, what I'd like to do is color code the really flat slopes yellow, the good slopes green, and the extra steep slopes red. So what I've just described is three different ranges. So I'll type a three here and click the arrow to create the ranges below. Now I'll enter the slope values for each range. I'll say from zero to two is my really flat slopes, from two to 34 are my good slopes, 34% being about three to one, and then anything greater than three to one, I'm going to say is my really steep slopes. So from 34% up to whatever the maximum number is, which Civil 3D already…
