Connected alignments
- Building off the concept of having alignments that are dynamic to baseline, or other alignments that we saw in our last video, the newest type of alignment in Autodesk Civil 3D is the connected alignment. Let's learn about this by opening up our exercise for this video. Going to the quick access toolbar, choose "open" and we're going to the "06_08 align connect." Now this is pretty much the same alignment we've been working on, if I zoom out you'll see that this is the trimble loop alignment, along with some widening that's been added, or offset alignments I should say, and then we have a new alignment that's perpendicular to that, so it's intersecting along with it's offset alignment, so there's an intersection going on here. The connected alignments that we're about to create, have always been part of the intersection object since the intersection object was added in Civil 3D.
