Create a TIN volume surface

- [Instructor] In an earlier video, I showed you how to use the volume's dashboard to create a TIN volume surface. Let's look at how you might do that from scratch. To get started, I'll go to Prospector and I'll right click Surfaces and pick Create Surface. And I'm going to call this EGFG volume. Up here where it says type, I want to choose TIN volume surface. I'll choose my style, and for this example, I'll choose a style called contours and triangles. And then for the base surface, I'll choose EG, and for my comparison surface, I'll choose FG final. And generally speaking, when you do an analysis like this, you would want your base surface to be your existing ground and your comparison surface to be some sort of finished ground.
