Create an existing ground surface
- [Instructor] Now that we know a little bit about surfaces, let's create one. I'll start by going to prospector and finding the Surfaces node. I'll right click on Surfaces and simply pick Create Surface. I've got to provide some information about the new surface that I'm creating. First, the name. Next, I can enter a description, that's optional, but I can certainly do that if I choose. An important choice is the style, so I'm going to set that to C-Existing Contours. So, the name of the style suggests that we're probably going to see contours when we use this style. And for now, that's all we need. I'll go ahead and click okay. Now, nothing happens in the drawing. I've basically created kind of an empty container that is the surface. If I expand Surfaces, you'll see EG listed beneath it.
